23 films. 23 subjects. Each a story that's one-of-a-kind. 23andMe partnered with Tribeca Studios to produce a series on identity, as seen through the eyes of 23 wonderfully unique individuals.

At 23andMe, they hear a lot of stories. Stories of discovery. Stories of connection. Stories of identity. All in search of discovering ourselves. Everyone’s story is worth telling. Tribeca Studios teamed up with the leading genetic research brand and 23 remarkable storytellers to explore the power of knowing one's own origins through 23 different points of view. In line with its mission to elevate diverse voices at every opportunity, Tribeca selected pitches from many different cultural communities and backgrounds.

Filmmakers could document their own or another's unique story of identity through an array of storytelling mediums. At its heart, each film shows viewers not just what it means to be empowered with the knowledge of one's DNA, but also what it means to be human.

The full series debuted during the Tribeca Festival, followed by a panel from some of the 23 featured filmmakers, hosted by Emmy award-winning filmmaker Dyllan McGee.
