For Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings, going for gold goes far beyond the medal itself. As this inspirational documentary reveals, it’s a calling - as a leader in the sport, a mom, a wife, a friend, and a role model to younger athletes.

In association with Dick’s Sporting Goods, Tribeca Studios produced Kerri Walsh Jennings: Gold Within, documenting the journey of three-time Olympic gold medalist and her quest toward a fourth consecutive gold medal at the 2016 Games in Rio.

Five-time Emmy Award®-winning director and producer Gabe Spitzer offers rare, intimate access to Jennings as she balances life as a mother of three, recovering from a shoulder injury and competing with new partner April Ross in their quest for the gold.

The world premiere was held at The Paley Center for Media to a full house including Spitzer, Walsh Jennings and her family, fellow pro beach players Sinjin Smith and Gabrielle Reece, as well as fitness guru Denise Austin and other professional athletes. After the premiere, presenter Maria Menounos moderated an in-depth discussion panel with Walsh Jennings and her volleyball partner April Ross.

This is the second long-form doc collaboration with Dick’s Sporting Goods following the Emmy Award®-winning We Could Be King, continuing Tribeca’s industry leadership in redefining what viewers can expect from branded content.
